Delivery Schedule:
We aim to process in stock UK orders within a maximum of two working days. Panamas and Fur Felts which are made to order will take on average 10 days longer, we are obviously at the mercy of Christys' for these hats. All UK orders are sent by Next Day Delivery, once processed.

Standard international delivery times on stock items is usually 10 days (give or take a couple). Panamas and Fur Felts which are made to order will take on average 10 days longer. Hats are sent by Royal Mail Airsure service, and where this is not available, by International Signed For. Final delivery is dependent on local mail services.

"Working days" are Monday-Friday and do not include weekends.

Standard Fur Felt Adventurer Sizes:
Standard Crown height is 5 3/4"
Brim Size is 2 1/2" on the sides and 3" on the front and back.
Ribbon width is 38mm.

Open Crown Hats:
Christys' Foldaway and Adventurer hats are open crown so you can shape it to your liking. Christys' do not bash these hats on your behalf, as the probablity of it not being how the customer envisages it is too great. There are some great instructions on how to do it on the web.

Returns and Replacements

If you find that the hat you have ordered is the wrong size, we will be happy to replace it within 30 days of dispatch date subject to the purchase of an additional delivery charge which you can purchase here: www.hornetshats.com/delivery.

On confirmation of the extra delivery charge having been paid and on receipt of the hat, the replacement will be dispatched. Please note there is £1 administration cost on top of the additional delivery fee.

On Fur Felt and Panama Hats where a request for custom requirements has been made, replacements or refunds will be at our discretion as it is hard to sell on a hat that has been heavily customised.

For returns from outside the UK, it is very important to note either on the box or on the customs slip that the box is a "Product Return". Otherwise Royal Mail will intercept the box and we will have to request additional funds from the sender to retrieve the hat/s from them.

Refunds

No hat will be eligible for a refund or replacement if the labels have been removed.

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If in the unlikely event that goods you are supplied with are faulty, then we will issue you with a replacement without any charge to you subject to the labels still being in place. All other refunds are at management discretion, please contact us explaining your reason for requiring a refund, and we will assess your claim. Top Hats are not refundable (for obvious reasons - we are not a hire company) but we will happily replace any Top Hat that is the wrong size, subject to the additional delivery fee being paid. Refunds on customised Fur Felts and Panamas will be at our discretion (please see paragraph above).
